Main reason behind teaching leadership skills to students is to give them required skills to achieve their goals in life. It provides them with confidence to make decisions independently. Effective and good leaders possess good communication skills, motivate their team, are flexible to solve problems in the workplace and aim to achieve organisational goals effectively and efficiently.
Good communication
As a leader you should establish a steady flow of communication between you and your team members either through open door communication or regular conversation with the team.
Motivation
As a leader you must ensure that your employees are motivated. Motivated employees work more efficiently and effectively to achieve organisational goals.
Trustworthiness
A leader should be able to build trust within its team. Employees should be comfortable in sharing their problems, ideas and opinions with the leader. Leader should be honest.
Creative
A leader should have creative and analytical thinking. Employees are impressed by the leader who undertakes unique paths and solutions to reach the goal.
Positive
A positive attitude can go a long way in the office. A leader should be able to create a positive environment in the workplace.
